Good News For Female Students
But after todays press conference of Punjab Transport Minister Bilal Akbar Khan, very good news has been revealed for female students. During the press conference, Transport Minister Bilal Akbar Khan informed that, on the special instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, it has been decided to give electric bikes to all female students applying for electric bikes in the Punjab Bike Scheme.
To tell you more about this, about 15,000 applications were submitted by male and female students for electric bikes in the bike scheme. Among them, the number of female students applying for electric bikes was around 8,000. After which, all the female students who submit applications for electric bikes will now be able to get electric bikes on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

Will male students applying for e-bikes also be able to get bikes?
No, on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, it has been decided to give e-bikes only to female students. Therefore, male students who have submitted an application to get an e-bike will not be able to get the e-bike.
Bike Delivery Date
After e-balloting is over, the Bank of Punjab (BOP) will check the financial status of the guarantor or co-borrower. During this post-poll review, the BOP may ask for additional documents, an official statement said. Only those students who pass the BOP test will be able to get the bike. For this, applicants have to submit the necessary documents along with their online application.
On receipt of payment from the vendor or their dealer, the bike will be booked. If the bike is available, its chassis and engine number will be sent to BOP for insurance. Once insured, the BOP will issue a delivery order to the dealership, which will be given to the student to pick up the bike.
Let me further tell you that the Punjab government has not yet announced the official delivery date of the bike. The delivery process is expected to start before the budget for the financial year 2024–25.
