Recently, the Himmat card has been introduced by Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, for the welfare of disabled people. Through which disabled people from all over Punjab who are not capable of doing any work will be provided a stipend of 10500 on a quarterly basis. According to the data released by the Punjab government, around 60,000 disabled people will be able to benefit from this program. This program has been divided into two phases, under which 35,000 disabled persons will be provided with Himat cards in the first phase while the remaining 25,000 disabled persons will be able to get these cards in the second phase.

And at this time, millions of disabled people have completed their registration process to benefit from this program. However, since this card is not available for all disabled persons, only disabled persons who meet the eligibility criteria will be able to get this card. According to the latest updates, a web portal has recently been introduced by the Government of Punjab for the convenience of the disabled persons who have completed the registration to get the Himat card. With the help of which disabled persons who complete the registration can know whether they are eligible to get the Himmat card or not, sitting at home with the help of this portal by entering their ID card number.

Lakhs of disabled people belonging to Punjab have completed their registration process to get courage cards. However, as I have mentioned in the beginning of the article, these cards are not available for all disabled people. Because this card will be provided by the Punjab government only to such disabled persons who will fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria. So if you are also suffering from any disability and you have also completed your registration process, and now you want to know whether you have been declared eligible or not. So let me tell you that a special portal has been launched by the Punjab government for your guidance. Now you can check your eligibility by entering your ID card number in this portal while sitting at home to see if you will be provided with the card or not.

Following is the procedure to check the eligibility for Himat Card at home:

  • Open the web portal from the link given earlier https://dpmis.punjab.gov.pk/himmatcard-verification.
  • As soon as the portal opens, you will see a field to enter your ID card number.
  • Enter your ID card number in the field that appears. Remember not to insert any dashes while entering the ID card number.
  • And press the “Submit” button shown below.
  • Clicking the button will show you the complete eligibility details.

Procedure To Complete New Registration To Get Himmat Card

The following is the registration procedure for getting a Hemat card. This card is issued exclusively to provide financial assistance to persons with disabilities. If you belong to Punjab, now you can complete your registration by following the given procedure.

  • To complete the registration, you must first visit the official website of DPMIS. As soon as the website opens, you will see an option called PWD Services on the screen.
  • As soon as you click on this option, you will see an online registration button inside the left corner.
  • You have to create your account first by clicking on this button.
  • To create an account, you need to enter your name, identity card number, email address, birth certificate number, and other such information.
  • And finally, the account has to be created by writing a strong password.
  • After creating the account, you have to login to the account again by entering your ID card number and password.
  • After logging in to the account, you will need to update the rest of your information.
  • As soon as you update the rest of your information, your registration process will be complete.
  • After that, the team of Punjab Baitul Mal will come to your home to verify the information provided by you. If they find you suffering from such a disability that you are not capable of doing any work, then you will be issued a Himat card.

Necessary Documents

The following documents are required to be submitted during registration:

  • Identity Card (CNIC)
  • Medical report of disability
  • Two passport size photographs
  • Proof of residence (e.g. utility bill or residence certificate)

Eligibility for Himat Card

Note that this card issued by the Punjab government is not available for everyone. The government has set some strict conditions to get this card. Only those who fulfill these conditions will be able to get this card after registration.

The following persons are eligible to get the card:

  • People who are disabled and unable to work.
  • Persons with disabilities who have a disability certificate issued by the Department of Social Welfare.
  • Those who are not employed in any government or private institution due to disability.
  • Individuals who are not already receiving financial assistance from any government scheme.
  • Those whose PMT score meets the criteria set by the government.
  • Persons with disabilities who are permanent residents of Punjab
